MEX Talent Search 2012- an initiative of MEX-began at Capitol Hill College, Teku amidst much hype and buzz from the participating students. The competition began with the introduction to the competition and the rules thereafter. One by one, students were asked to shed light on the topic entitled, “Agriculture in Nepal and benefits of commodity markets to farmers!” The students ably supported the topic by citing examples of the current agricultural aspects of Nepal and the advantages of the existence of the commodity market to the farmers. The esteemed panel of judges evaluating the students on their public speaking ability included the Managing Director of MEX Nepal, Mr. Dipendra Khatiwada, the principal of the college itself, Mr. Toya Nath Adhikari and representing Nepal International Financial Centre, a broker affiliated with MEX Nepal, Mr. Kishor Kafle. The judges evaluated the students on various aspects including the content furnished, delivery and persuasion amongst others. After a cut-throat competition, Miss. Samikha Sharma, a BBS 2^nd year student, emerged victorious edging out Mr. Saroj Khatiwoda to the runners-up position. The winner and the runner-up received certificates from the Principal of the college.
