The 19^th AFM Annual Conference was held in Istanbul, Turkey on 18-19 April 2016. The event was hosted by Borsa Istanbul. The Association of Futures Markets (AFM) conference featured panel discussion on the host country, commodity derivatives, regional cooperation and Islamic finance. Eighty registered participants from all around the globe participated in the annual event which included approximately 25 exchanges, consultancy firms, regulatory agencies and also ministries among others.

CEO of MEX Nepal, Mr. Jitesh Surendran, was invited as one of the panelist to the Round table discussion on the topic, “Challenges around establishing markets: regulation, market development, reporting obligations, education campaigns. Attracting global participants to emerging markets.” MEX Nepal has also attained the membership of AFM thereby garnering further exposure & recognition on an international level.
