MEX Talent Search 2012- an initiative of MEX-was organized at Uniglobe College, amidst much hype and buzz from the participating students. The competition began with the introduction to the competition and the rules thereafter by the moderator. One by one, students were asked to shed light on the topic entitled, “How Nepalese economy is hindered by political instability?” The students cited numerous examples related to the topic and exuberantly expressed their opinions. The esteemed panel of judges evaluating the students on their public speaking ability included the Senior Assistant Manager of R&D Dept. at MEX Nepal, Mr. Vivek Risal, the Program Coordinator of the college itself, Mr. Dipkar Thapa and representing Derivative Futures Trading Private Limited, a broker affiliated with MEX, Mr. Raju Koirala. The judges evaluated the students on various aspects including the content furnished, delivery and persuasion amongst others. At the conclusion of the event, Miss. Rubina Shrestha emerged victorious edging out Mr. Amrit K. Shrestha to the runners-up position. The winners received certificates from Mr. Raju Koirala, Chairman of Derivative Futures Trading Private Limited.
