| MEX Nepal logo carried to mountain Lord Baden Powel Peak |
MEX Nepal has sponsored Mr. Vinayak Jay Malla for climbing the mountain “Lord Baden Powel Peak”. MEX Nepal would like to congratulate the mountaineer for his successful climbing to the top of the peak.
Lord Baden Powell Peak almost is surrounded by majestic peaks such as Langtang II, Langtang Lirung, Dorje Lakpa and Shishapangma in Tibet and has a height of 5890 meter above the sea level. Locally known as Urkema Peak, it was renamed Lord Baden Powell Peak (5,718m) in 2007. The peak was named after the father of the Scouts movement by the Nepal Government to mark the centenary celebration of the International Scouts Movement.
The length of the trip was 16 days which started from and ended to Kathmandu. According to the mountaineer, the grade of the climbing was categorized as strenuous.
