MEX Talent Search 2012- an initiative of MEX-was organized at School of Environment Science and Management amidst much hype and buzz from the participating students. The competition began with the introduction to the competition and the rules thereafter by the moderator. One by one, students were asked to shed light on the topic entitled, “Productive & unproductive investment in Nepal” The students cited numerous examples related to the topic and exuberantly expressed their opinions. The esteemed panel of judges evaluating the students on their public speaking ability included the Manager of R&D Dept. at MEX Nepal, Mr. Amit Pyakurel, the Executive Director of the college itself, Dr. Ananda Raj Joshi and representing Vista Investment Private Limited, a broker affiliated with MEX, Mr. Lok Bahadur Shahi. The judges evaluated the students on various aspects including the content furnished, delivery and persuasion amongst others. At the conclusion of the event, Mr. Sujan Upreti emerged victorious edging out Mr. Dhurba Raj Pokhrel to the second position. The winners received certificate from the Executive Director of the college itself, Dr. Ananda Raj Joshi.
