"Demystifying Trading Techniques in Commodity Market"-The Feedback!

Mercantile Exchange Nepal Limited had organized the training entitled, “Demystifying Trading Techniques in Commodity Market”, over two days from 1st to 2nd of September 2012 in World Trade Center. The training was furnished by Mr. Vishal Mehta, a renowned market technician affiliated to Bloomberg, to the broker members who are associated with MEX and NSE. This blog is directed towards the feedback received from the participants after the completion of the training.

The following is the summary of the feedback received from 150 respondents:

  • All of the respondents agreed that the content was effective over the duration of the training period.
  • Out of the 150 respondents, 66% agreed that the contents furnished fulfilled the expectations of the participants. The other 29% was on the contrary and the rest 5% was neutral in their opinion.
  • From the feedback received, 80% gave their affirmative in attending a similar training program from the same trainer. 21% of the respondents exhibited an outright no in this aspect whereas 1% was in the indecision mode.
  •  However, in the following question- Is there anything that we could have done ahead of time to have made your day more successful?-75% respondents answered in the affirmative whereas 16% were satisfied and 9% were in the indecision mode.
  • In the question regarding the training contents for the future, 85% of the respondents answered with ‘More Advance’. The remaining respondents answered with 4%, 10% and 1 % for ‘Less Advance’, ‘Similar’ and ‘Neutral’ respectively.
  • None of the respondents rated the over-all program as ‘Poor’ which showcases the articulate planning of the program. 17% termed the program as ‘Average’ whereas 63% and 20% respondents replied with ‘Good’ and ‘Excellent’ respectively.

From the remaining comments received from the respondents, it was a unanimous disclosure that the training should be held in each quarter or semi-annually-whatever is deemed convenient. The respondents also appreciated the efforts of MEX and NSE for initiating such forms of training to educate and to enhance the competitive level of the market participants.

MEX believes that there is always a room for improvement in the forthcoming training programs of similar kind and will rely on the valuable suggestions provided by the participants to meet their requirements to provide an effective training in the future too!
